History of AOS Thermal Compounds
At AOS Thermal Compounds LLC, our roots trace back to Newark New Jersey in
1895 and the founding of American Oil & Supply Co. AOS was a major supplier
of lubricant products to the military in both World Wars and a pioneer in the
development of turbine and hydraulic lubricants based on synthetic esters for
aircraft, naval vessels and NASA.
American Oil & Supply Co. also developed the first non-silicone thermal
grease in the late 1970's to solve a particular customer problem with the tendency
of silicone greases creeping, migrating and contaminating an electrical product.
AOS Thermal Compounds LLC was formed in 1999, as a spin off from American Oil
& Supply LLC. We focus on thermal grease and have developed a broad range
of products all based on thermal grease with truly unique application techniques.
Our products include sprayable grease, stable water cleanable grease, pumpable
thermal grease and patented Micro-faze
and Sure-Form dry to the touch
grease products.
We bring a personal touch to thermal grease and in today's demanding applications,
we make the finest thermal products even easier to use. We were the
first and we are still the best.
